Our Camp Office & Shop stocks a range of everyday essentials, including ice creams, cold drinks, snacks, party ice, salt ice, bait, milk, bread, tinned and packet foods, basic hardware, cleaning products and personal items.<\/p>\n
We also have medical supplies, reading glasses, sunglasses and a selection of Whangaruru Beachfront Camp caps and bucket hats.<\/p>\n

Sometimes a holiday needs a good coffee! HAZ BEANZ<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0serves barista-made coffee, seasonal frappes and alternative milk options.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n During summer and long weekends, weather and occupancy permitting, TONY’S DINER<\/strong><\/span> serves gourmet burgers, fries and more.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our covered picnic area is a handy place to sit back, have something to eat and enjoy some time together. Tables and seating are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You will need your own barbecue, and table covers to relax and make yourself at home.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n If you’re heading over the hill, SKIP’S FISH & CHIPS<\/strong><\/span> offers takeaways, milkshakes, fresh cream donuts and freshly baked bread on selected weekends.<\/p>\n And then just around the corner, the OAKURA BAY GENERAL STORE<\/strong><\/span> is well stocked with groceries, petrol, diesel and gas bottle swap or refill services.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our camp kitchen is available for guests to prepare their meals and is equipped with fridges, freezers, convection ovens, double hotplates, microwaves, toasters and electric jugs.<\/p>\n Please bring your own cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, dishwashing liquid, and tea towels.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our male and female bathroom facilities include hot showers (not metered) and flushing toilets. Cloths are there for wiping the basins clean when finished. Hand towels are not provided but hand dryers are available.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n For those stays when you need clean clothes, our laundry is here to help! Our laundry room has 2 washing machines and 3 clothes dryers.<\/p>\n The washing machines and one dryer operate with 2 x $2.00 coins<\/span>. Two dryers operate with a $4.00 token<\/span>. (Coins and tokens are available from the Office).<\/p>\n An outdoor clothesline is also available.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Water tanks provide the water supply, and hot water cylinders provide hot water throughout the Camp. Water from all standard campground taps is safe, fresh drinking water. Please do not drink water from the Boat Wash or Dump Station taps.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our Dump Station is available for black water (toilet waste = rectangle section) and grey water (dish and shower water = round section) only. Please do not dispose of wipes, paper towels, sanitary items, or nappies in the system. Charges apply for non-campers using the Dump Station or filling water tank<\/p>\n <\/p>\n As we operate on tank water, the Boat Wash is for boats and trailers only and is not available for washing vehicles.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n If fishing is part of your stay, our dedicated filleting station is available for cleaning your catch.<\/p>\n Please rinse the area when you’ve finished. Fish scraps and seafood shells should be returned to the sea rather than placed in rubbish bins, thrown into the creek or on any of the camp\u2019s grounds.<\/p>\n We no longer have a fish bait freezer available.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Single and double kayaks, along with paddleboards, are available for hire from the Office. Prices vary depending on equipment and hire duration. A signed indemnity form is required, and lifejackets are provided and must be worn.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our little campers haven’t been forgotten! We have separate playgrounds for toddlers (under 5 years) and young children, providing a place for them to have some fun while enjoying their holiday.<\/p>\n Seating is available for the adult supervision that is required at all times.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Each accommodation booking includes one allocated parking space. All vehicles, structures and equipment must fit within your allocated site.<\/span><\/p>\n Additional parking is limited, charged per night, and subject to management approval.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Need somewhere to keep your caravan between trips? Short- and long-term caravan storage is available. Bags and stickers are available for purchase from the Office.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our Recycling Station provides bins for clear, brown or green glass bottles and jars, plastic containers and cans.\u00a0 There is also a place for your emptied and flattened cardboard boxes. The recycling area is not for plastic bags or rubbish<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A basic first aid kit and defibrillator are available at the Office if needed. In an emergency, ring 111 first<\/strong><\/span>.
