🏕️ CAMP ESSENTIALS

Camp Kitchen
Our communal kitchen includes:
• Fridges and freezers
• Convection ovens
• Double hotplates
• Microwaves
• Toasters
• Electric jugs
Please bring your own cookware, crockery, cutlery, tea towels, and dishwashing liquid.

Bathrooms
Facilities include:
• Complimentary hot showers (supplied by hot water cylinders)
• Flushing toilets
• Hand dryers

Laundry
Available on site:
• Two washing machines (2 × NZ$2 coins per wash)
• Three dryers:
o One dryer: (2 × NZ$2 coins per wash)
o Two dryers: $4 token (available from the Office/Shop)
• An outdoor clothesline is also available

Water Supply
Fresh drinking water is available from all campground taps.
Please do not drink from the Boat Wash or Dump Station taps.

🚐 CAMPING SERVICES

Caravan Storage
Short and long-term storage is available. Please enquire at the Office for current rates.

Dump Station
Available for:
• Black water (toilet waste in the big opening)
• Grey water (sink and shower water in the small inlet)
• Filling water tanks
Charges apply for non-campers.

Boat Wash
A freshwater wash-down area for rinsing off boats and trailers.
Not suitable for washing cars or other vehicles with soap.

Parking
All accommodation includes one allocated car park.
Additional parking is subject to availability and nightly charges.

Camp Office & Shop
We stock:
• Party ice, salt ice, and bait
• Milk and bread
• Snacks, biscuits, sweets, and drinks
• Basic hardware, cleaning products, and first aid supplies
• Jewellery, reading glasses and sunglasses
• Whangaruru Beachfront Camp branded hats

Coffee & Food
Enjoy:
• Haz Beanz Coffee serves barista coffee, seasonal frappes, and alternative milk options
• Tony’s Diner (seasonal) serves gourmet burgers, fries and more

Nearby you will also find:
• Skips Fish & Chips also do milkshakes and fresh cream donuts
• Oakura Bay Store

🎣 RECREATION

Kayak & Paddleboard Hire
Single and double kayaks, plus paddleboards, are available for hire, and lifejackets are supplied.
(Conditions apply).

Filleting Station
A dedicated fish-cleaning area is provided.
Please rinse the area after use and dispose of seafood waste back out to sea – not in rubbish bins or bags, thrown into the creek, or left on the beach.

Playground
Separate playgrounds for toddlers and young children.
Open daily from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Recycling & Rubbish
Recycling of glass, cans and plastic containers is available free of charge. General rubbish must be in official Whangārei District Council rubbish bags or have a Whangārei District Council rubbish sticker attached. (Available for purchase from the Office).

First Aid
Available at the Office:
• First aid kit
• Defibrillator (AED)
For emergencies, always call 111 first.
If possible, call 021 159 1760 for the local First Responders who may arrive sooner than the emergency services.

Security
CCTV security cameras operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the campground.

Picnic Area
A covered picnic area with tables and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Bring your own BBQ and table covers.
